Years 7 & 8 (ages 11 - 13)

Years 7 & 8 pupils are split into two classes:  Years 7 & 8 Girls, and Years 7 & 8 Boys.  
Pupils are challenged everyday to stretch their intellect and achieve more, whilst enjoying a range of subjects:

Daily studies are embedded with Islamic teachings and morals and all teaching resources are carefully checked to make sure they do not conflict with Islamic principles.  Pupils are regularly assessed according to the national expectations and outcomes for children of their age, to ensure they are achieving the necessary skills to progress further.

Religious Education is delivered from an Islamic perspective and follows a renowned scheme of work designed especially for children of lower senior age. Topics include:

  • Biography of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)
  • Explanation of the Quran
  • Islamic Beliefs
  • Islamic Etiquettes
  • Islamic History
  • Islamic Jurisprudence
  • Islamic Stories
  • Oral Traditions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
  • Stories of the Prophets
Children are also taught reading and memorisation of the Qur'an, and to understand the meaning.

Information Technology is integrated across the curriculum.
